Monthly Salary: SAR 1,800 with FREE Duty Meal, Shared Accommodation and Transportation to and from work

Role Overview

The Assistant Waiter / Food Runner serves as the vital engine of the dining floor. You are responsible for the seamless transition of artfully prepared dishes and specialty coffees from the kitchen/bar to the guest’s table. By supporting the senior captains and ensuring flawless table maintenance, you play a key role in delivering a polished, luxury guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transport orders from the pass to the correct table with speed and grace, ensuring every dish is presented according to the cafe’s specific plating standards.
• Proactively clear used cutlery, empty glassware, and crumbs without interrupting the guest’s conversation, maintaining a pristine dining environment.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the ingredients, allergens, and preparation methods of all dishes and signature mocktails to answer basic guest inquiries confidently.
• Act as the primary communication link between the kitchen and the front-of-house team, alerting servers to special requests or delays.
• Greet guests with the warmth and "Hafawa" (traditional hospitality) expected in Riyadh, utilizing professional body language and eye contact at all times.
• Execute precise table mise-en-place, ensuring linens, cutlery, and glassware are perfectly aligned and spot-free before guests arrive.
• Manage multiple tasks during peak "rush" hours—such as the busy Riyadh weekend nights—while remaining calm, composed, and organized.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Conversational English is required; basic conversational Arabic is a significant advantage for engaging with local families and dignitaries.
• Background in a luxury hospitality environment (fine dining or premium cafe) with a demonstrated understanding of formal service etiquette is an advantage, but not required.
• Exceptional personal presentation aligned with a high-end brand, and the physical ability to remain standing for long shifts in a fast-paced environment.
