Assistant Warehouse Manager

Dukco LLC has been proudly serving the Los Angeles area with drinking water solutions since 2010. We are specialists in residential and commercial water systems, and water delivery service in three- and five-gallon bottles throughout LA. We are proud to be a premier provider of superior water products and solutions to our city for 15 years.

We are seeking a qualified candidate who is looking for long-term stability with continual growth opportunities. The position is full-time, with the typical workweek being Monday through Friday.

Job responsibilities:

The position requires you to oversee daily water delivery and water bottling operations at our facility in Los Angeles. As an assistant warehouse manager, you will:

  • oversee and manage bottled water production, including the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of bottling equipment and water systems,
  • use your warehouse and forklifting experience for inventory management, production forecasting, and general warehouse maintenance,
  • utilize route management software to manage a small team of delivery drivers, audit driver performance and improve delivery efficiency,
  • cover periodic delivery routes when needed using company cargo vans,
  • keep precise logs and records of vehicle inspections and equipment maintenance, and perform minor repairs as needed,
  • provide customer service for customers via phone and email, and communicate with vendors regarding orders and shipments,
  • implement, promote, and adhere to company policies and procedures, and keep proper records through logs and reports, and
  • report directly to management to ensure efficient operations, customer satisfaction, and enforcement of company policies and procedures.

Pay structure:

Starting at $25.00 per hour

Required qualifications:

· Five years of experience in logistics, warehouse and/or delivery operations; management experience preferred

· Extensive cargo van/light truck and forklift experience (forklift experience is mandatory, but current certification not required)

· Working knowledge of warehouse equipment and vehicle maintenance, including ability to assess and resolve basic vehicle issues

· Excellent communication skills and professional e-mail and phone etiquette

· Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)

· Clean driving record

· Talent management, team building, and crisis management skills

· Strong organizational and analytical skills, ability to multi-task and to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

· Availability to work extended hours as needed

· Minimum high school diploma or GED
