Title: FP&A Associate

Location: New York, NY onsite

Comp Range: $110-130k base; 10-15% target bonus

Team Overview:

The Corporate FP&A team is responsible for the consolidated results of Newmark across several different business lines and support functions, leading the reporting, budgeting and forecasting efforts across the finance organization. Responsible for working across the different teams and functions across the finance function to ensure accuracy of management reporting, ensuring support function and occupancy allocations are fairly and accurately applied to each business line, consolidated results are accurate, understanding both the bottom line, and the details driving the performance of the company.

Job Description:

This position will support Newmark’s Corporate FP&A team’s focus on Back Office reporting and business partnering through core financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and expense management activities. This role will act as a key finance business partner to corporate and functional leaders, ensuring accurate, timely, and insightful financial information to support decision‑making within Newmark’s back office and support functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Back Office Financial Planning & Analysis:

    • Support the corporate FP&A function across forecasting, budgeting, and expense tracking processes

    • Partner with functional leaders to clearly communicate financial insight, variance analysis, and ongoing performance monitoring

    • Assist in developing and maintaining annual budgets, reforecasts, and long‑range planning models for Newmark’s support functions

    • Track operating expenses against budget and forecast, identifying risks, opportunities, and key drivers

    • Lead technology spend tracking and reporting; tracking expenses at a project level for actuals, forecasts and the budget.

    • Support the preparation and maintenance of cost allocations across functions and business units

    • Ensure data integrity across reporting outputs, working closely with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies

    • Coordinate with an offshore finance team to ensure timely delivery, accuracy, and adherence to reporting standards

  • Brokerage & Ad Hoc Support

    • Provide incremental financial support to brokerage and other business lines as needed

    • Assist with special projects, analyses, and ad hoc requests related to corporate and brokerage finance.

Salary Range Language

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $125,000 to $130,000 annually. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package (including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching), this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related analytical role
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
  • Experience working with consolidated financials and management reporting packages
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial systems and reporting tools preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with both onshore and offshore teams
  • Exposure to AI & workflow automation tools like Alteryx, Copilot, Claude, Perplexity
