Associate Account Executive, Specialty Markets

Associate Account Executive will play a key role in supporting the continued growth of the Nihon Kohden Neurology Sales organization. Specifically, this individual is responsible for supporting the sales efforts and objectives in an assigned Region.

Essential Functions and Main Duties

  • Identify, support, and qualify sales opportunities within the territory and capitalize on them
    • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through discovery of Neurology Service Lines and Neurology Supported Services including the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, Long Term Monitoring Unit, Intensive Care Unit, Operating Room, Emergency Department, Sleep Lab, and other hospital areas.
  • Successfully supports sales, marketing and national account strategies as directed by management
    • Applies specific focus to Nihon Kohden Neurology Supplies and Accessories within the Region
    • Achieves or exceeds established sales goals and objectives while maintaining territory budgets
    • Acts as company resource for contract negotiation, pricing, proposal, bid preparation and customer follow-up
    • Proactively identifies customer issues and solves sales related difficulties
  • Maintains superior market awareness by monitoring customer and competitor trends
    • Advises management on methods to improve company competitiveness
    • Supports sales team success through actively share ideas, techniques, and approaches
  • Assists marketing and sales management in the development and implementation of new sales strategies, tactics, and tools for new market opportunities
    • Demonstrates solid teamwork skills through the effective utilization of field support personnel (clinical consultants, technical consultants, outcome consultants etc.)
    • Develops and maintains strong knowledge of products and sales methodologies
    • Uses and maintains sales tools as directed
    • Meets or exceeds territory sales goals, pipeline, and presentation metrics
    • Able to effectively develop rapport with key decision makers, and communicate value statements, product specifications, and other information in a compelling manner
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time based on business need.

Qualifications

Education / Certification / Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science or related discipline; relevant education and experience accepted in lieu of degree
  • 2+ years of experience in hospital or related sales
  • Demonstrated success in a sales role is required
  • Sales experience in capital or multiple modality medical sales

Competencies Required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong sales and presentation skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to develop, maintain, and report sales funnel accurately.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, and other relevant programs pertaining to products and sales.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing, and to receive and understand verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Compensation

Your compensation is composed of a $75,000 to $80,000 base salary and quarterly MBO’s. There is also an opportunity to earn a Variable Incentive via Commissions earned above value of earned MBO’s.

Working Conditions

Schedule: The regular hours for this full-time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, unless otherwise stated by the department manager. Holiday, weekend, and evening work hours may be required. Regular hours may vary due to the needs of the organization or department and are subject to change at any time at the Company’s discretion.

Physical: Generally may require some reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying up to 20 pounds, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, standing, walking, sitting, hearing, visual acuity, and color vision. More specific details may be provided as needed or requested.

Location: Must reside in assigned region.

Travel: Approximately 80%

Access to Customer Sites: It is an essential function of this position to perform duties in healthcare facilities, and to achieve the necessary vendor credentialing. As part of this process, it is typically required to provide proof of vaccinations (including for COVID-19), and related personal medical information, and to comply with other criteria as needed to be able to work at customer sites. Typical vendor credentialing expenses will be paid/reimbursed by the Company.
