Overview
ABIS Client is seeking to appoint a Financial Analyst to join the Group Finance. This Department provides decision and advisory support to Senior Management relating to matters including but not limited to, statutory & management reporting, financial & investment analysis, budgeting & planning, Mergers & Acquisition, governance, tax, and treasury matters (working capital and liquidity requirements) impacting Company Affiliates.
Responsibilities
- Provides expert and objective advice to Senior Management to support effective decision-making on a diverse range of financial, governance and commercial matters impacting Affiliates.
- Deliver informative briefings to senior management to support decision making on upcoming Affiliate board meetings as well as ad-hoc projects and ensure compliance with Group governance
- Review board materials for Affiliates, coordinate input from all stakeholders, and prepare insightful commentary and analysis for board members
- Review and coordinate the preparation of impairment analysis for broad range of investments prepared by Business Lines
- Review Purchase Price Allocations (PPA) of new acquisitions and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, as required.
- Contribute effectively to GF&CD role of being the one-stop shop for all Finance matters across the Group
- Coordinate involvement of internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as needed to support current affiliate matters and issues
- Support preparation of relevant note disclosures to form part of Saudi Aramco's consolidated financial statements
- Support set-up and readiness of new affiliates to ensure robust processes, policies and controls are implemented which comply with Aramco Group Governance Framework.
- Brief internal management on affiliates' operational matters, new projects, and initiatives
- Perform financial analysis on due diligence on Affiliates and their upcoming projects
- Develop, mentor and coach other team members in areas of expertise.
- Ad hoc support as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Professional certification such as a CPA, CA, or CFA. Position of an advanced business degree (ie. MBA) is preferred, but not required. Experience with the Big 4 firms is preferred.
- 10-15 years of relevant experience which may include experience in financial reporting and accounting research (IFRS), management advisory, decision support, international taxation, financial analysis, financial modeling, business development, mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance, internal controls, financing & cash management, and consulting.
- Strong / effective oral and written communication skills to deliver briefings to senior management.
- International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) accounting standards and policies.
- Management accounting aimed towards supporting decisions.
- Experience working with affiliates in a group environment.
- Ability to analyze financial information and drive key insights.
- Ability to deliver and present reports to senior management.
- Ability to positively influence stakeholder.
- Ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to working in a multi-cultural environment.
