Work Unit Posting: Open to current, eligible employees currently working in department 30025.
Primary responsibility for the implementation of the department’s applications and ensuring that software and processes developed meets users' needs. Leads and/or participates in workgroups/project forums and serves on multiple committees related to departmental projects utilizing in-depth knowledge of clinical processes and departmental applications to ensure clear communication between all involved. This role has responsibilities for staff scheduling, real-time analysis, and reporting. Experience working with vendors along with requirements gathering and software configuration will be needed. The right individuals will be comfortable with analytics, report execution, staff scheduling, and real-time performance analysis. Other key responsibilities include providing input and support for process/workflow analysis, design, development, maintenance and enhancement of multiple applications. Serves as a liaison to staff working with other Analysts and assists with departmental support involving operations analysis, software development, workflow analysis, staffing analysis, scheduling, reporting and project work on broad-based key departmental and institutional initiatives.
Requires a bachelor's degree in business, healthcare or related field and at least 2 years in clinical setting; or an associate’s degree and at least 4 or more years in a clinical setting with an extensive working knowledge of appointment offices, desk, secretarial, and other clinical functions. A comprehensive understanding of the physician practice and patient flow throughout a large healthcare institution is required. Experience in multiple clinical areas within a large healthcare institution is required.
Supervisory and leadership experience preferred. Must be assertive and possess excellent interpersonal communications skills, to include presentation, negotiation, and persuasion skills. Strong writing skills are required in order to document and communicate project activity. Team management and organizational skills along with the ability to make quick and concise decisions are required to effectively carry out job responsibilities. Must be able to facilitate others in a team setting, work through difficult issues and bring groups to consensus. The applicant must have the knowledge of the clinical practice and overall operations experience in order to develop process flow requirements and in turn implement these requirements into existing practice sites in an integrated way. Experience and application implementation is preferred. Experience with word-processing tools, data analysis tools, spreadsheet, and presentation packages are required. Must be flexible to work in a variety of work environments (i.e. ambiguous, structured, consensus driven). Applicable department specific credentials preferred.
