POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a litigation-focused Associate Attorney to join our Chicago office. The ideal candidate will have experience in civil litigation and an interest or background in insurance law and subrogation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

· Manage a caseload of Illinois subrogation matters from intake to resolution.

· Draft and file complaints, motions, pleadings, and discovery.

· Conduct legal research and prepare case evaluations and strategy reports.

· Attend hearings, case management conferences, arbitrations, depositions and trials as needed.

· Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and unrepresented parties.

· Work collaboratively with clients, experts, and support staff to move cases efficiently and effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS OF ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

· Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

· License to practice law in Illinois, in good standing.

· 0–3 years of civil litigation experience preferred, preferably in subrogation

· Proficient in Illinois Rules of Civil Procedure and local court rules.

· Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.

· Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

· Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.

· Comfortable using case management software and e-filing systems preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
