Job Opportunity for Mid-Level Litigation Associate, New York Office

Seiden Law LLP, a fast-growing litigation firm in Manhattan, is seeking a mid-level litigation associate to work with a team of seasoned lawyers and support staff on interesting complex litigation and arbitration matters. Candidates must have at least three to five years of litigation experience in federal and state court. We are seeking highly motivated individuals who desire to work on fascinating cases from clients around the world and practice at the highest level while having significant responsibility and front-line exposure. This role will likely include:

  • Interfacing with clients, courts, and arbitral bodies.
  • Drafting and arguing motions.
  • Working with experts and witnesses.
  • Conducting depositions and managing discovery in litigation and arbitration.
  • Develop and implement affirmative litigation strategies.

Credentials:

  • Excellent academic credentials
  • J.D. from accredited law school
  • Experience in litigation (4-8 years)
  • Licensed to practice law in New York
  • Outstanding references

  • Demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work and lead effectively within a team
  • Organized and efficient; able to prioritize the most critical work

Required Experience

  • Experience as the principal drafter of legal briefs and other complex work product
  • Experience taking or defending depositions
  • Experience appearing in court
  • Experience leading conferences with opposing counsel
  • Experience managing junior associates and support staff
