Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Description:

• The ideal candidate will have experience in civil litigation and an interest or background in insurance law and subrogation.
• Manage a caseload of Illinois subrogation matters from intake to resolution.
• Draft and file complaints, motions, pleadings, and discovery.
• Conduct legal research and prepare case evaluations and strategy reports.
• Attend hearings, case management conferences, arbitrations, depositions and trials as needed.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and unrepresented parties
• Work collaboratively with clients, experts, and support staff to move cases efficiently and effectively.

Required:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• License to practice law in Illinois, in good standing.
• 1–3 years of civil litigation experience preferred, preferably in subrogation
• Proficient in Illinois Rules of Civil Procedure and local court rules.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Comfortable using case management software and e-filing systems preferred.
