Overview
Rogers Zabawa P.C. seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our fast-paced transactional legal practice. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with real estate law, corporate formation and governance, construction law, and financing transactions, although experience in these fields is not required. This role is essential in supporting partners with document drafting and review, title and survey review and coordination, closing attendance, corporation formation and due diligence collection and circulation to ensure our clients receive the highest level of service. A J.D. from an accredited law school is required for this position and the employee is generally expected to be in the office, with occasional flexibility. There is no minimum billing requirement, but in general, hourly timekeeping is required.

NYS Bar Admission, in good standing, is a requirement of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Assist partners in drafting and reviewing transactional documents for real property conveyances and associated financing.
  • Assist in reviewing title abstracts, surveys and title insurance commitments and associated title curatives.
  • Prepare and file formation documents for limited liability companies and corporations, including not-for-profit corporations when required.
  • Collect, organize, and circulate client due diligence as required for purchasers or financing parties.
  • Maintain an organized calendar for deadlines, meetings, and closings.
  • Attend meetings and calls with clients, taking detailed notes, and progressing transactions towards closing.

Skills

  • Proficient in legal drafting with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong understanding of real estate law with a willingness to learn elements of corporate law, title insurance, construction law, and tax law.
  • Experience working in person in a law office environment.
  • Knowledge of document management systems and timekeeping software is required.
  • Excellent project management abilities to coordinate checklists and due diligence efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills with an emphasis on professional phone and email etiquette.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $86,000.00 - $103,000.00 per year
