Qualifications

  • Required Education - JD
  • Actively barred in Texas
  • Knowledge of collection laws in Texas, as well as applicable federal statutes such as the FDCPA is a plus; however, newly licensed attorneys are also encouraged to apply
  • Actively barred in additional states is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various cases and legal issues.
  • Draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
  • Provide legal advice on matters related to business litigation, creditor's rights law, and litigation.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and assist in case preparation.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and case progress.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas.
