Associate Attorney

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join Utrera Law, a construction law and litigation boutique firm. The ideal candidate will possess a foundation in litigation. This role requires litigation experience, the ability to handle legal filings, discovery, and litigation case preparation/management. This role may also include transactional duties, such as contract drafting. Pay commensurate with experience.

Duties

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and contracts mainly in the area of construction law.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, advocating for their best interests.
• Collaborate with sole-practitioner on complex cases, providing support and insight.
• Maintain case files and ensure compliance with all legal procedures and regulations.
• Utilize legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis to gather relevant case law and statutes.
• Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on case progress and address any concerns.

Skills

• Working knowledge of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, and other litigation rules and processes.
• Proficient in legal administrative tasks and document management.
• The ability to advocate effectively for clients.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail in legal research and writing.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual caseloads effectively. .
