Associate Attorney

Well-established disability benefits law firm in Albany, New York is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping clients navigate complex benefit claims with professionalism and compassion.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a commitment to client service, and a willingness to learn. Prior experience in VA law is not required, but you must be willing to obtain VA Accreditation as part of your role.

This position provides exposure to all aspects of disability benefits representation, including client counseling, informal conferences, legal research, drafting appeals, and preparing persuasive legal arguments.

We offer a full-time position with growth opportunities, and a hybrid schedule after successful completion of a six-month training period.

Essential Functions

• Conduct new client intakes and maintain strong client relationships
• Participate in informal conferences and case strategy discussions
• Perform legal research and draft appeals, rebuttals, briefs, and other legal documents
• Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional client service

Required Education and Qualifications

• Must be admitted to practice law
• Strong communication, writing, and analytical skills
• Must be willing to obtain VA Accreditation

Preferred Experience

• Litigation experience
• Direct client counseling
• Familiarity with disability benefits law (a plus, but not required)

Pay: $78,183.52 - $94,156.49 per year
