Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in a broad spectrum of legal practice areas, including estate planning, trust administration law, probate, state court litigation, business law, real estate law, bankruptcy, and tax law. Duties
- Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and client advisories.
- Draft clear, precise legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence.
- Support litigation processes through case preparation, discovery management, and courtroom assistance.
- Provide guidance on environmental law compliance and regulatory issues.
- Engage in negotiations on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Review and analyze drafted legal documents.
- Appearances for hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, administrative proceedings, inspections, and any other appearances required in connection with the representation.
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission or eligibility to sit for the bar exam.
- Prior experience or internships in a law office setting demonstrating familiarity with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
- Proven ability to conduct comprehensive legal research and synthesize findings into well-structured written work.
- Experience drafting various legal documents with attention to detail and clarity.
- Exposure to multiple practice areas including estate planning, trust administration law, probate, state court litigation, business law, real estate law, bankruptcy, and tax law is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively on behalf of clients.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Demonstrated proficiency in legal administrative tasks and familiarity with case management software such as MyCase.
