Associate Attorney

Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in a broad spectrum of legal practice areas, including estate planning, trust administration law, probate, state court litigation, business law, real estate law, bankruptcy, and tax law. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, excellent research and writing skills, and a passion for delivering comprehensive legal solutions. You will play a vital role in supporting our firm’s mission to provide exceptional legal services while gaining valuable experience across diverse practice areas.

Duties

• Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and client advisories.
• Draft clear, precise legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence.
• Support litigation processes through case preparation, discovery management, and courtroom assistance.
• Provide guidance on environmental law compliance and regulatory issues.
• Engage in negotiations on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Review and analyze drafted legal documents.
• Appearances for hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, administrative proceedings, inspections, and any other appearances required in connection with the representation.

Experience

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission or eligibility to sit for the bar exam.
• Prior experience or internships in a law office setting demonstrating familiarity with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Proven ability to conduct comprehensive legal research and synthesize findings into well-structured written work.
• Experience drafting various legal documents with attention to detail and clarity.
• Exposure to multiple practice areas including estate planning, trust administration law, probate, state court litigation, business law, real estate law, bankruptcy, and tax law is highly desirable.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively on behalf of clients.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Demonstrated proficiency in legal administrative tasks and familiarity with case management software such as MyCase.
