Associate Attorney

Birmingham law firm seeks licensed attorney to join its Firm. The applicant must be licensed to practice law in Alabama; a license to practice law in Georgia and/or Tennessee would be a plus. Successful candidate will exhibit a professional demeanor, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced work environment.

The Firm practices in the area of real estate, business litigation, corporate law and creditor rights. .The ideal candidate will be someone who is able to assist the Firm with the management of their current client base but also an interest in building the client base.

In addition to salary, the compensation includes bonus/profit sharing.

Qualifications

• Admission to the state bar
• Proficiency in legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
• Strong writing and legal drafting skills
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
• Relevant legal administrative experience

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough legal research using Westlaw to support case preparation.
• Draft legal documents and correspondence with precision, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Assist in negotiations and client consultations, providing sound legal advice on various matters, including litigation.
• Maintain organized case files and manage legal administrative tasks to support the law office's operations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and representation in court.
