Job Summary

Milberg seeks a highly motivated and hard-working Junior Attorney to join and support its ERISA (Employment Retirement Income Security Act of 1974) Litigation team.

The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of litigation experience. This attorney needs to have successfully managed clients and the litigation process and have experience with statutory interpretation. The candidate must be personable, proactive, organized, capable of working independently, and possess strong communication skills.

Candidates with interest or experience in ERISA, Antitrust, Securities, Patent, or Intellectual Property litigation will thrive in this role. Experience defending Erisa claims would be a plus but not a requirement.

Work Location: This position is for remote work.

Essential Functions

· Performing work in all aspects of complex ERISA matters (fiduciary duties and statutory claims), including conducting legal research using tools such as Westlaw and drafting complaints, motions, briefs, discovery, and settlement documents.

· Taking depositions and handling oral argument at court hearings.

· Interpreting large contracts and statutes and helping issue spot and strategize what legal claims can be asserted (if any).

· Working closely with experts, including developing reports.

· Interacting with clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel.

· Handling client interactions if and when necessary.

Minimum Requirements

· JD from an accredited law school

· Excellent research and writing skills

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and organizational skills

· Conveys confidence with and responsiveness to clients

· Able to complete tasks efficiently and manage time across multiple projects

Salary

$90,000 - $140,000 annually commensurate with experience within the posted range.
