Role Overview

As an Associate Attorney specializing in civil litigation, responsibilities include independently managing a caseload from inception through resolution, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, and ensuring strict adherence to deadlines. The role encompasses preparing for and attending depositions, hearings, and trials, offering significant courtroom exposure. The position emphasizes collaboration with clients, experts, and colleagues, devising effective litigation strategies, and maintaining clear, regular communication via case updates and interim status reports.

Additional duties include conducting comprehensive legal research, preparing memoranda to support case strategy, and partnering with senior attorneys to promote seamless case management. The role offers a multifaceted career trajectory in civil litigation.

Key Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the New Hampshire State Bar are required.
  • A minimum of one year of civil litigation experience, with familiarity in both New Hampshire state and federal courts.
  • Strong advocacy skills, initiative, and proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform legal research and respond to discovery requests.
  • Experience with taking and defending depositions of fact witnesses and experts.
  • Attention to detail and effective communication skills.
