Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary: $100,000 – $120,000 annually, depending on experience
• Performance-based raises available after 90-day probation period

Position Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and draft clear, well-reasoned legal documents
• Represent clients in civil litigation, family law, and related practice areas
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations
• Provide sound legal advice and maintain effective client communication
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop legal strategies
• Manage case files from intake through resolution
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments to ensure compliance and effectiveness

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Active California Bar license required (applicants awaiting bar results will not be considered)
• 3–5 years of experience practicing law in a firm or legal setting
• Demonstrated knowledge or experience in civil litigation and/or family law
• Experience with estate planning and/or tax law is a plus
• Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills
• Meticulous attention to detail, including grammar and formatting
• Strong ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks
• Proficient negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
• A professional, proactive approach to client service
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain seated for extended periods while using a computer
• Occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs
• Ability to bend, reach, and perform general office tasks
• Willingness to travel locally as required for court appearances or meetings
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively under pressure

Work Location

• In-person position at our Walnut Creek, CA office
• Candidates must be local or willing to relocate prior to the start date
