Summary

We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our dynamic team at McCormack, Mattei & Holler. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality legal representation in the field of insurance defense. Located in a vibrant legal community, this position offers the opportunity to grow professionally while making a significant impact. Consideration will be given to candidates who passed the July 2025 bar exam and are pending admission.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in various legal matters.
• Draft legal documents, including motions, appeals and legal briefs.
• Represent clients in court proceedings and administrative hearings.
• Advise clients on their rights and obligations under the law.
• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting practice areas.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and strategies.
• Manage case files and maintain accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in New York State.
• Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record in client representation.
• Knowledge of civil litigation is essential.
• Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and advocacy.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
