Associate Attorney - Litigation

Job Description

Makkabi Law Group, APC is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join our litigation team. This position will involve managing all aspects of personal injury litigation , from pre-litigation through trial. The ideal candidate will have experience handling depositions, drafting motions, participating in settlement negotiations, and preparing cases for trial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct case investigations, evaluate liability, and gather evidence
• Monitor clients’ medical treatment and maintain proactive client communication
• Manage case files and draft demand letters
• Negotiate claims and settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
• Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
• Engage in meet and confer efforts to resolve discovery disputes
• Participate in mediation and settlement conferences
• Prepare for trial, including witness preparation, exhibit review, and legal strategy development
• Attend court hearings, arbitrations, and trial proceedings as necessary
  
  

Qualifications & Skills:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active California Bar membership in good standing
• Experience in personal injury litigation preferred
• Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills
• Capable of handling multiple cases in a fast-paced environment
• Strong negotiation, advocacy, and courtroom skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  
  

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year (commensurate with experience)

Schedule:

• Full-time (Monday – Friday)
• 8-hour shift
  
  

Location Requirement:

Candidates must be willing and able to relocate to Beverly Hills, CA 90212 prior to starting work .
