Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:

Perlmutter & Pourshalimi is a boutique plaintiff’s-based law firm specializing in elder and dependent adult abuse litigation and trial. We are seeking an associate attorney with interest in elder neglect, medical malpractice, and personal injury. All qualified candidates with personal injury litigation experience are encouraged to apply. You do not need elder abuse or medical malpractice experience to be considered for this position.

You must be licensed in California to be considered for this position.

You must be highly motivated to achieve outlier results for our clients. You must be interested in trial work, furthering your law and motion skills, and taking depositions of adverse and hostile witnesses. You will be tasked with handling wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases, and we will expect you to go the extra mile for our clients.

We will train you, mentor you, and help you become the best lawyer you can be. We will teach you how to work up and try a case.

Skills and Qualifications:

· Admitted to practice in California (at least 5 years of attorney experience required)

· Superior analytical skills

· Strong written and oral communication skills

· Ability to communicate effectively and with empathy to our clients who are suffering

· Ability to use Microsoft Word and Adobe effectively

Responsibilities:

· Conduct legal research, handle written discovery, and analyze medical records

· Regularly handle court hearings

· Communicate with clients

· Take depositions of adverse witnesses

· Prepare trial documents and PowerPoints

Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Position type: Full time

Schedule: Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm

Base Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000
