Associate Attorney – Personal Injury Law

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in personal injury accidents, including auto accidents, slip & fall incidents, motorcycle accidents, wrongful death claims, medical malpractice, premises liability, and insurance disputes
• Propound and respond to discovery requests
• Conduct legal research and draft various litigation documents, including motions, complaints, pleadings, and settlement demands
• Stay informed about government, state, and federal laws, regulations, and recent cases relevant to personal injury
• Prepare for, take, and defend depositions
• Attend hearings in both State and Federal courts as necessary
• Assist the Lead Attorney in managing a heavy caseload, ensuring timely progress and adherence to deadlines
• Provide exceptional client service throughout the legal process
• Assist in trial preparation and second chair trials when necessary
• Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Active member in good standing with the California State Bar
• Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing personal injury litigation and employment law, with trial experience preferred (we're open to passionate candidates with less experience!)
• Strong track record of successful case management and favorable outcomes
• Strong knowledge of state and federal laws related to personal injury and employment law
• Exceptional litigation skills, including experience in drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Strong negotiation and mediation skills to achieve favorable settlements for clients
• Excellent research skills and proficiency in oral and written communication
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
• Demonstrated dedication to client advocacy and satisfaction
