Description
The Associate Business Analyst supports the development of a data-driven insights framework that enables strategic growth and operational performance for the Residential Energy Solutions business (PV modules and systems). This role helps translate complex datasets into actionable insights that support decision-making across sales and operational functions.
The analyst contributes to data collection, analysis, and reporting while building an understanding of the residential solar lifecycle, including sales performance, project milestones, and installation completion. Using analytics tools and business intelligence platforms, the role helps transform raw data into meaningful business insights for leadership and cross-functional teams.
This position is based in San Francisco, CA, with a regular back-office work setting supporting collaboration with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders.

Support the design and maintenance of a data-driven insights framework that tracks residential solar business performance across sales and operations

Conduct data analysis using Excel, SQL, Python, or R to identify trends, patterns, and insights

Assist in building and maintaining KPI dashboards and performance reports to provide visibility into business performance metrics

Support the development of forecasting models for sales planning, analyze performance variances, and assist with model improvements

Help consolidate fragmented and disparate data sources to support structured data pipelines and databases

Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance, and cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and deliver analytical support

Communicate analytical findings and insights clearly to stakeholders

Support special projects, initiatives, and ad-hoc analyses as directed by leadership

Educational Background: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, economics, statistics, information systems, engineering, or a related quantitative field is required.

Domain Experience: 1–3 years of experience in data or business analytics is required. Demonstrated ability to support data-driven business insights using end-to-end business data. Exposure to or interest in the residential solar industry is a plus.

Technical Stack: Working knowledge of analytics and data management tools (Excel, Python/R, SQL) and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is required. Familiarity with modern data analytics and AI tools is a plus.
