Role Overview
Phaedra Solutions is looking for an enthusiastic Associate Business Developer to support our business growth initiatives. This opportunity is well-suited for candidates with up to one year of experience who are eager to build a career in sales and business development within the software services industry.
In this role, you will contribute to lead generation, client engagement, opportunity identification, and revenue support activities. You will work closely with internal teams to assist with proposals, manage sales pipelines, and strengthen client relationships.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead Identification & Outreach
- Identify potential clients through market research, online platforms, professional networks, and industry channels.
- Generate and qualify leads via freelancing platforms such as Upwork and Fiverr, as well as through outbound efforts including email, LinkedIn, cold calling, and events.
- Maintain and regularly update prospect records and contact databases.
Client Communication & Relationship Building
- Initiate and manage professional conversations with prospective clients.
- Develop rapport and long-term relationships by understanding client needs and expectations.
- Prepare outreach messages, follow-ups, proposals, and introductory sales materials.
Sales Tracking & CRM Management
- Record and manage leads, opportunities, and communications in CRM tools.
- Track sales activities and maintain an organized pipeline.
- Share regular updates and reports on progress with senior stakeholders.
Meetings & Sales Support
- Coordinate and participate in client meetings and online presentations.
- Prepare agendas, presentation content, and meeting summaries.
- Assist senior team members during discussions and negotiations when required.
Market Research & Business Insights
- Conduct competitor and industry research to identify trends and opportunities.
- Analyze market data to support sales strategies and expansion plans.
- Identify potential partnerships and new service opportunities.
Proposal & Documentation Assistance
- Support the preparation of proposals, RFQs, and RFP submissions.
- Collaborate with technical and marketing teams to create customized pitches.
- Maintain proposal templates and sales documentation for consistency.
AI Tools & Process Optimization
- Use AI-powered tools to support lead generation, outreach personalization, and follow-ups.
- Apply automation and productivity tools for reporting, research, and client engagement.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Coordinate with marketing teams to align campaigns with sales efforts.
- Work with technical teams to ensure accurate solution understanding for clients.
- Provide operational and administrative support to business development activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related discipline.
- Relevant certifications in sales, marketing, or business development are an advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as GHL or ClickUp is preferred.
- Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, AI tools, and outreach platforms.
- Basic understanding of sales funnels, lead nurturing, and client lifecycle management.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Research-oriented mindset with analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
Experience
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in business development, sales, or client handling roles.
- Relevant internships or academic projects in sales or marketing will also be considered.
