Salary: 18.50/hr
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking an Associate Buyer who will support the buyer and help to coordinate projects, orders and assigned tasks under the direction of the Senior Buyer. Must have buying experience, research and development experience, ecommerce experience and computer software skills (Microsoft, Counterpoint, Big Commerce.) Must be highly analytical and organized.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support Senior Buyer with analysis of sales reports, monitor market fluctuations, assists in management of inventory and price adjustments
- Assists in organizing sample submissions and sample organization and respond to those who submit
- Communicate with vendors and assist new vendors into Tipalti and POS system
- Data Entry of inventory transfers into Counterpoint
- Assist in accounting details with product deliveries and invoices
- Assist Senior Buyer with the input of new items
- Assist with Christmas and Sample sales
- Assist with consignment reporting, contracts and retail projects
- Assist Senior Buyer in Research and Development of projects and contribute to product development
- Handle administrative tasks by filing and maintaining records for products
- Prepare sales reports as necessary
- Assist Warehouse Manager with product needs and inventory
- Other Duties as Assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, merchandising, fashion merchandising, supply chain, economics, management or a related field is preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in retail merchandising, category management, merchandise planning or a related field, ideally within the retail or convenience store industry
