If you are a supply chain professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Shakopee, MN location, you will support the development and execution of sourcing strategies for assigned mechanical commodities or categories, ensuring cost competitiveness, quality, and supply continuity. You will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to manage day-to-day procurement activities, assist in negotiations, and contribute to strategic initiatives that drive operational excellence. This position offers a chance to learn and grow within a global organization while building expertise in supplier management and strategic sourcing.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies in alignment with organizational strategy to ensure a reliable supply chain for mechanical parts and assemblies
  • Consistently track and monitor supplier performance to drive improvements and ensure global supply chain networks meet operational needs
  • Drive cost savings and trade working capital improvements (DPO/Inventory) through negotiations, eSourcing, and other activities related to supplier selection and short/long-term strategies
  • Supply sources and lead projects within assigned commodities
  • Support annual financial planning and commodity report cycles
  • Assist with other strategic operations and supply chain projects and initiatives as needed
  • Bachelor’s degree in: Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering (advanced degree a plus)
  • 2 years’ experience in supply chain in a global manufacturing environment
  • Basic understanding of mechanical parts
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in: Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering (advanced degree a plus)
  • 2 years’ experience in supply chain in a global manufacturing environment
  • Basic understanding of mechanical parts
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • Ability to utilize all the tools in the Microsoft suite primarily Excel, word.
Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $65,000-$85,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
