Associate Connected Commerce Manager

We are currently hiring an Associate Connected Commerce Manager in Boston, MA (Hybrid*)

The Associate Manager, Connected Commerce (Assortment & Digital Shelf Activation) will be responsible for enhancing the visibility of BBC products in the eCommerce environment. They will do this by delivering best-in-class, accurate digital assets and product content to our prioritized retail and wholesaler partners; resulting in online sales channel visibility and growth for our Boston Beer portfolio.

This position reports to the Manager, Connected Commerce as part of the Commercial Marketing Team and works across the entire marketing and sales organization.

*A Hybrid position at Boston Beer requires that our coworkers reside within commuting distance to be onsite according to their teams’ weekly schedule.

What You'll Brew:

  • Work with internal partners across eCommerce, brand, creative and sales teams, external customers (retailers and wholesalers), and vendors (Salsify, Syndigo and VIP) to catalog and deliver accurate, timely content.
  • Conduct daily audits (digital surveys) and make weekly improvements to targeted retailer, wholesaler, and marketplace sites to drive omni-channel revenue of Boston Beer products, with results recapped to respective internal partners.
  • Manage continuous catalog updates and enhancements of the Boston Beer eCommerce Assortment.
  • Develop a clear understanding of eCommerce catalog functionality and update processes for prioritized retailer eCommerce sites and applications
  • Learn and support eCommerce assortment needs for developing B2B/Wholesaler inside sales portals (i.e. DSDLink, VIP Retailer Portal, PROVI)
  • Work cross-functionally to support content needs, updates, and requirements for marketplace sales activations and vendor partnerships (i.e. Syndigo, Salsify, and other emerging players)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business groups to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and develop processes for marketplace experience, content generation and digital asset management
  • Report results aligned with retailer and wholesaler capabilities
  • Develop presentations and deliver trainings to internal and external partners on merchandising systems and processes, as required to support continuous improvement

What Ingredients You'll Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: 4 year/Bachelor's Degree
  • 1-2 years eCommerce experience and/or digital acumen with a strong track record working in digital sales and promotional channels
  • Experience using product information manager (PIM), digital asset manager (DAM), and/or other data management tools; Salsify, Syndigo, and/or VIP data management preferred
  • Able to learn quickly and adapt with incredible capacity in an agile environment and ever-evolving eCommerce landscape
  • Comfort with highly technical environments and ability to coach and manage associate to enterprise level vendor conversations
  • Highly proficient in Teams and Microsoft products including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; must be able to communicate effectively with external business partners and across all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience in retail on/off premise sales strategy, account management, category management, and/or data management
  • 1-2 years experience in SEO
  • eCommerce experience focused on retailer and wholesaler capabilities and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to drive eCommerce growth with multi-channel retailers
  • Retailer and/or Wholesaler-specific eCommerce capabilities and process experience
  • eCommerce copywriting experience

Level: 6IC

At the Boston Beer Company and in accordance with pay transparency laws, we are open about our salary ranges. For this role, the salary range is between $73,000 and $133,300. However, it’s important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location. Additionally, this position qualifies for a discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance, and certain sales roles might include a car allowance.
