Job Description (Job advert)
The Corporate Actions team is responsible for the collection and maintenance of high-quality data across a wide range of financial markets and asset classes. The analysts are required to source the information from the public domains/contributors defined and ingest/enter the information into database using proprietary collection methodology including the benefit information. This information is time critical and requires to be processed within the set timeline and quality parameters.
  • Process and maintain data/information accurately and in a timely manner onto databases using financial and technical knowledge.
  • Take responsibility for data quality, timeliness, and completeness, this includes root cause analyses and preventive measure implementation.
  • Research new and review existing sources to ensure that quality, timeliness, and automation are improved.
  • Promote continuous improvement through research and analysis of queries/data quality control and seek efficiencies in work practices to achieve automation where possible.
  • Build up knowledge of financial regulations and market practices in relevant markets and Monitor market events to anticipate the changes.
  • Research and respond quickly to all client issues, adhering to quality goals for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Effectively communicate with all relevant collaborators
Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Reciprocate the queries received through chat room, service cloud and emails
  • Conduct detailed investigation and respond if it is a search and explanation queries and make basic corrections in case of DC cases which require short time to fix.
  • Liaise with Production teams to get queries resolved.
  • Gathering, analysing and applying information to existing databases; supporting the development of new databases
  • Supporting the team in building stronger process and systems knowledge.
  • Ensures effective communication of information relevant to own area of responsibility re: changes, developments, news.
  • Provides expertise & creativity in developing new methods of working which focus on cost-effectiveness & resource efficiency.
  • Maintains up to date data set expertise & works to develop further content & technical knowledge.
  • Have a thorough understanding of C2C standards and conduct audits from time to time and uphold those standards with the team.
  • Ensures the quality and time-efficient production of financial information to F&R (Refinitiv) products.
  • Responds to data queries from both internal and external clients and provides support to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate problem solving on data and product issues, including database infrastructure and maintenance procedures knowing who to involve and when.
  • Works with and involves cross functional teams to provide Root Cause Analysis to identify solutions in problem areas.
  • Provides ongoing training to the team, always with a team-oriented attitude.
  • Ensures timely and successful implementation of content enhancements.
  • Effectively maintains and manages relationships with internal and external participants.
  • Monitor various reports on service cloud to avoid potential ERT and timeliness breaches. Work with and involve cross functional teams to expedite client queries that are taking time to resolve
  • Train existing members of staff to reduce dependency on production teams for some of the repeated queries
Required Skills:
  • Good PC skills and adapt at managing content and technical issues
  • Excellent timekeeping, ability to work to deadlines and manage under pressure is a must.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written, including customer-focused behaviour and ethics.
  • Precision, thoroughness, collaborator management skills.
  • Individual accountability and team ethics.
  • Knowledge on the working of service cloud and incident management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is an ability to work under the pressure of tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge on Financial markets, with a solid focus on Bonds and cash instruments
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Well versed with MS Office applications, especially MS Excel.
  • Oral and Written communication skills, and the ability to clearly and concisely convey information to all levels of an organization.
  • Intermediate interested party management skills, presentation and competitive analysis
