The Associate Cost Control will play a critical role in optimizing and controlling costs across various engineering functions by managing inventory, auditing, and implementing cost-reduction strategies. This role requires proactive inventory management, meticulous tracking of project costs, and a focus on continuous improvement, particularly in soft skills development.
Job Description
- Ensure optimal stock levels by maintaining minimum inventory thresholds to support uninterrupted project operations.
- Regularly review inventory levels, coordinate with procurement, and project teams, and facilitate timely replenishment of stock.
- Standardize inventory items across engineering functions, preparing, and updating comprehensive specification sheets and catalogs.
- Work closely with engineering and procurement teams to ensure specifications meet project requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory and field sites to ensure compliance with company policies and verify the physical presence and condition of inventory items.
- Prepare audit reports, document discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions to maintain transparency and accountability.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings by evaluating inventory processes, vendor contracts, and material usage.
- Implement cost-reduction initiatives and support procurement in negotiations to optimize supplier agreements and resource utilization.
- Monitor and track project costs, ensuring adherence to budgets and providing timely alerts on potential cost overruns.
- Collaborate with project management teams to update cost forecasts and provide insights on financial health and project efficiency.
- Continuously improve communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills to enhance coordination with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Participate in training and development programs to strengthen soft skills essential for effective cost control and collaboration
Skills requirements
- Proven experience in cost control, inventory management, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP experience is a plus).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience and Education
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
Pay: Up to Rs45,000.00 per month
