We are excited and committed to support the Ethraa program and UAE Central Bank’s objective to encourage talented Emirati graduates to join the banking sector.


At Emirates Investment Bank, we are looking to hire across various critical functions of the bank to start with us in a full-time employment, with an opportunity to get enrolled for training program at the Emirates Institute of Finance. This 6-month program equips and empowers the next generation of specialised bankers with a structured learning journey, international qualifications, hands-on projects, and ongoing coaching and mentoring. On completion of this program, you will continue working with the Bank in your full-time employment role.


The programme consists of three phases:

Foundation Phase: Covers fundamental Banking knowledge.

Specialisation Phase: Focuses on training relevant to Credit domain. This phase also includes mentoring, coaching support, and skill enhancement training.

Certification Phase: Involves obtaining international professional certifications.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist in evaluation of real estate-backed lending proposals, including review of property valuations and collateral quality
  • Support determination and validation of Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratios for both Equity Release and Lombard Lending, including application of internal policy thresholds and stress scenarios
  • Contribute to structuring of equity release / top-up financing proposals against existing property holdings
  • Prepare and assist in drafting Credit Proposal Notes for private banking clients
  • Analyze client financial profiles, including income streams, net worth statements, and liquidity positions
  • Support monitoring of collateral values and margin calls, especially in volatile market conditions
  • Track covenants and exposure limits, ensuring compliance with internal policies
  • Liaise with Relationship Managers (Private Bankers), Risk, Legal, and Valuation teams
  • Assist in portfolio reviews, including sensitivity analysis on property and security prices and LTV movements


This role provides highly specialized exposure within private banking credit:

  • Deep understanding of LTV-based lending - Practical exposure to how LTVs are calibrated, including haircuts, market volatility adjustments, and asset liquidity considerations
  • Real estate credit expertise - Hands-on involvement in evaluating property-backed financing, including equity release structures and refinancing strategies
  • Exposure to HNW/UHNW client portfolios - Understanding complex wealth structures, including multiple assets, jurisdictions, and leverage strategies
  • Risk structuring skills - Learning how credit is structured to balance client needs with prudent risk management (tenor, margining, collateral coverage)
  • Market-driven risk awareness - Insight into how real estate cycles, interest rates, and macroeconomic factors impact collateral values and lending decisions
  • Cross-functional collaboration -Close interaction with Front Office (Private Banking), Risk, Legal, and external valuers


Qualification & Experience:

  • UAE National with a Family Book
  • A bachelor's degree in any major is suitable, though a specialization in Banking and Finance is preferred.
  • GPA 2.7+
  • Graduates from 2024 onwards
  • Fresher or with less than 1 year experience
  • Fluent in English
  • National Service must be completed for male candidates
