Manager, Dental Assistants
The Associate Dental Assistant performs routine Dental Assistant tasks that support support dentists and dental therapists during clinical procedures to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Assist dentists and dental therapists with diagnostic operative and preventive procedures during patient examinations and treatments

Support all basic clinical procedures including maintaining sterile equipment cleaning the operatory area and performing tasks of increasing complexity as experience is gained

Handle Moderately complex tasks such as preparing and mixing materials for patient treatment

Acquire new skills throughinservice training and chairside experience under the supervision of the Dentist OnJob Trainer and Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Work under the direct supervision of the Dentist or with guidance from the Senior Dental Assistant with work hours assigned to meet the operational needs of the area
Completion of a Two Year Dental Assisting Program or equivalent as acceptable to the Dental Services Department
SCFHS Certification as applicable
