Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in general dentistry, with experience in pediatric dentistry and oral surgery being highly desirable. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional patient care while adhering to the highest standards of dental practice. The Associate Dentist will work collaboratively with our team to ensure comprehensive patient assessments and treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments for patients of all ages, focusing on pediatric care when necessary.
- Execute a variety of dental procedures including but not limited to general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery such as dental extractions and root canal therapy.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Collaborate with dental hygienists and assistants to provide high-quality patient care and education on oral health practices.
- Stay current with advancements in dental technology, including proficiency in software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, and Dentrix for effective patient management.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, utilizing medical imaging and anatomy knowledge to inform treatment decisions.
- Possibility for future ownership
- 4-5 days a week.
Experience
- A Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution is required.
- Previous experience working in a dental clinic or office setting is preferred, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry being a plus.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and the ability to interpret medical documentation effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to perform various dental procedures with precision and care while maintaining a focus on patient comfort and safety.
