Associate Dentist

We are seeking a motivated and patient‑focused Associate Dentist to join our Newbury Park practice. The Associate Dentist will deliver high‑quality dental care, grow patient relationships, and collaborate with our clinical team to provide excellent outcomes. This role offers clinical autonomy balanced with support from experienced peers and practice leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including diagnosing oral health issues (e.g., caries, periodontal disease) and reviewing patient medical/dental histories.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans that address restorative, preventive, and cosmetic needs.
  • Provide general dentistry services: fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns/bridges, dentures, implants (if applicable), pediatric dentistry.
  • Take and interpret radiographs (x‑rays) and other diagnostic imaging.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive practices, and ongoing oral care.
  • Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation in patient charts and practice management system.
  • Follow all clinical protocols including infection control, sterilization, safety, OSHA, HIPAA compliance.
  • Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, front‑office staff to ensure positive patient experience and flow.
  • Participate in continuing education to keep clinical skills current; comply with state licensing requirements.
  • Support practice growth by helping with scheduling, case presentation, and referring when needed.

Qualifications

  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
  • Valid license to practice dentistry in California.
  • BLS/CPR certification.
  • Experience preferred, but new graduates welcome if willing to invest in mentorship.
  • Strong clinical skills across general restorative, preventive, and surgical procedures.
  • Good communication skills, empathy, ability to put patients at ease.
  • Proficient in dental software and digital imaging systems.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of clinical care and patient satisfaction.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $150,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
