Associate Dentist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in general dentistry, with a focus on delivering comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. As an Associate Dentist, you will perform a wide range of dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and surgical treatments, ensuring optimal oral health outcomes for patients of all ages. Your expertise in dental terminology, medical documentation, and infection control will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.

Duties

  • Provide comprehensive dental care including examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for diverse patient populations.
  • Perform dental procedures such as restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and oral surgery with precision and professionalism.
  • Utilize dental imaging technology and adhere to aseptic techniques to ensure accurate diagnosis and infection control.
  • Maintain detailed medical and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while documenting patient assessments and treatment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop individualized treatment plans that address both immediate needs and long-term oral health goals.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote optimal health.
  • Stay current with advancements in general dentistry to enhance clinical skills and patient care quality.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using dental practice management Dentrix to streamline workflows.

Skills

  • Extensive knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control protocols.
  • Proficiency in performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics procedures, and pediatric dentistry treatments.
  • Experience with dental fabrication techniques and medical imaging technologies for accurate diagnostics.
  • Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance standards related to medical records and patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently to optimize patient comfort and treatment flow.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic or Dentrix for seamless documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
