Overview
Rural, woman owned dental practice seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality patient care and possess a strong foundation in various dental procedures. This role requires proficiency in both general dentistry and specialized areas, including pediatric dentistry and oral surgery. The Associate Dentist will work collaboratively with our team to ensure exceptional patient experiences while adhering to the highest standards of dental practice.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations to determine appropriate treatment plans.
  • Perform a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.
  • Execute dental extractions and root canal therapy with precision and care.
  • Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment options, oral health education, and post-operative care instructions.
  • Collaborate with dental hygienists and support staff to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Stay current with advancements in dental technology and practices, including familiarity with software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, and Dentrix.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid dental license to practice in Virginia and in good standing.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical imaging techniques.
  • Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay: From $100.00 per hour
