Our entertainment client is looking for an Associate / Junior Design Operations Manager to join a fast-paced, collaborative team based in Culver City, CA. This role will support the product design function by optimizing workflows, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring that product design projects are delivered on time and meet high standards. You’ll be working closely with product designers, UX/UI designers, researchers and engineers to streamline processes, track progress and facilitate effective communication across teams. This is a temporary/contract role and sits on-site in Culver City, CA (4x per week). This is not a remote role. The ideal candidate is highly organized, process-driven and has a strong passion for supporting design operations within a product-focused environment. Responsibilities
:

Support the product design team in managing daily operations, ensuring smooth execution of design initiatives from ideation to delivery

Coordinate between product designers, UX/UI designers, researchers and engineers to align priorities, manage timelines and ensure that design requirements are met

Help organize design reviews, brainstorming sessions and other key collaborative moments between design, product and engineering teams

Manage and maintain project timelines, ensuring that design tasks are tracked and deadlines are met across multiple projects

Streamline and improve the flow of design feedback, from ideation through final delivery, ensuring design solutions align with product and user needs

Support the creation and maintenance of design systems, templates and documentation to ensure consistency across all product touchpoints

Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless handoff of design files, assets and specifications
-
Assist with the management of design resources, budgets and vendor relationships as needed
-
Continuously look for opportunities to improve design workflows, optimize tools and enhance overall team efficiency

Assist in onboarding new design team members and providing operational support throughout their projects
Required Qualifications
:
-
2+ years of experience in product design operations or project management within a product design or UX/UI design environment

Familiarity with design tools such as Figma or similar tools used by product and UX/UI designers
-
Experience with project management tools like Jira, Asana or Trello to manage design tasks, timelines and cross-functional collaboration

Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple design initiatives simultaneously

Excellent communication skills to work effectively across design, product, engineering and research teams
-
A keen eye for detail and the ability to keep projects on track while maintaining high-quality standards

Comfortable working in an agile, fast-paced environment, adapting to evolving project needs

Proactive problem-solving skills and a passion for making design operations more efficient
Nice to Have

Familiarity with design systems and knowledge of design-to-development handoff processes

Experience working with Agile or Lean methodologies

Background in supporting cross-functional teams within a tech or digital product development setting
