Central Park West is a contemporary women’s fashion brand known for elevated knits, trend-driven tailoring, and refined, wearable pieces. With over 30 years in fashion, CPW has built a reputation for delivering high-quality, relevant fashion with a modern edge. We’re currently seeking an Associate Designer to join our growing team and support the senior design staff in all facets of the design and development process.

This role offers deep exposure to the full product lifecycle, from seasonal concepting to fittings and production and is ideal for someone who is organized, hands-on, and passionate about contemporary women’s fashion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support for the design team, including sample organization, shipping/receiving packages, and maintaining fabric and trim libraries
  • Commenting and organizing all color, fabric and trim submits each season
  • Assist with setting up tech packs and developing styles for head designer
  • Work closely with technical design on garment construction, fit, and revisions
  • Contribute to seasonal inspiration boards and design concepts as well as sketching and developing own ideas for the line
  • Create and update CADs for all categories
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, tech, sales, and showroom teams to ensure all departments have what they need
  • Assist in planning and executing seasonal photoshoots
  • Maintain and update line sheets and product data in JOOR
  • Support communication of line changes to sales reps and showrooms
  • Post to and maintain brand presence on social media platforms

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred
  • Internship or 1+ year of experience in a design role
  • Elevated taste and eye for contemporary womenswear with the ability to translate trends for the customer
  • Good follow up skills to endure ideas are executed well
  • Strong experience or interest in fittings, technical specs, and garment construction
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Familiarity with Apparel Magic and JOOR is a plus
