Associate Designer – Sleepwear Apparel

Description:

The Associate Sleepwear Designer will support the design team in creating trend-right, brand-appropriate sleepwear collections that resonate with the target consumer. This role assists in executing the design process from concept through final product, ensuring designs are aesthetically compelling, commercially viable, and aligned with business objectives. The Associate Sleepwear Designer will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners including merchandising, product development, and sourcing to bring collections to market on time.

Responsibilities

  • Create unique, commercially relevant prints and graphics for kids’ sleepwear.
  • Use Illustrator and Photoshop to execute layouts, repeats, and create presentations for internal reviews and milestone meetings.
  • Assist in filling sketches with prints and graphics in Illustrator.
  • Work closely with the Design team to manage deadlines and deliver artwork and updates on time.
  • Stay informed about current trends in kids print and graphic design for inspiration.
  • Ensure artwork is factory-ready and properly set up for production and keep files up to date in PLM.
  • Create packaging layouts for any new hangtags and internal labels when needed.
  • Review print and graphic strike offs for color and design comments.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Show attention to detail, organization, and follow-through in day-to-day tasks.
  • Eager to learn and open to helping the team where needed.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of design experience, preferably in sleepwear, intimates, or loungewear.
  • Working knowledge of fabrics, including knits, wovens, and trims commonly used in sleepwear.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD programs.
  • Strong sketching, CAD, and presentation skills.
  • Basic understanding of garment construction and technical design processes.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.
  • Passion for fashion with a strong eye for trend and detail.

Onsite Work Schedule

5 days a week in the office

New York Pay Rate $53,000.00 - $65,000.00
