Working at Myntra is challenging but fun - we are a young and dynamic team, firm believers in meritocracy, believe in equal opportunity, encourage intellectual curiosity and empower our teams with the right tools, space, and opportunities.

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Director - Brand Marketing to lead the brand strategy and marketing execution for a portfolio of our premium International Fashion and Lifestyle Brands within Myntra’s growing offline retail channel. This role requires a leader with a strong strategic foundation, exceptional creative judgment, and proven experience managing world-class brands in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between global brand ethos and local market execution, driving foot traffic and sales across our physical store network.

Key Roles & Responsibilities The Associate Director will be accountable for brand equity, campaign innovation, and seamless execution across all offline marketing touchpoints:

  • Brand Strategy & Custodianship: Serve as the primary custodian of brand strategy and innovation for the assigned portfolio (Mango, Nautica, Next, etc.). Drive ideation and ensure flawless execution of brand activities, meticulously aligning all campaigns with global brand guidelines and local market needs under the guidance of the Brand Head.
  • Consumer Insights & Campaign Concept: Collaborate closely with the internal research team to derive deep consumer insights specific to the offline retail shopper. Leverage these insights to develop pioneering, commercially viable marketing campaign concepts for physical stores and regional media.
  • Brand Health & Performance: Monitor brand health and key retail business metrics (e.g., foot traffic, retail conversion rates, store-level revenue) to proactively identify and address potential threats to current brand positioning and performance.
  • Agency Management: Act as the key Client SPOC (Single Point of Contact) for all Creative, Media, and Activation agencies. Build and nurture effective relationships, ensuring best-in-class deliverables while optimizing operational and budgetary efficiencies.
  • Integrated Campaign Execution (Offline Focus): Oversee the strategic development and production of all ATL/BTL campaigns with a heavy focus on high-impact retail activation (In-Store Visuals, OOH, Local Tie-ups). Manage this process with both external agencies and in-house teams.
  • Media Briefing & Evaluation: Develop comprehensive media briefs (for OOH, Print, Radio, In-Store Digital Screens, etc.), clearly outlining campaign objectives, target demographics, media routes, and budget. Liaise with media partners to ensure effective execution and post-campaign evaluation against measurable goals.
  • Project & Timeline Management: Own and manage intricate campaign timelines and material release schedules (including POS/VM elements) in alignment with seasonal launch requirements, ensuring seamless and timely store-level implementation.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as the central point of contact for marketing campaigns, collaborating cross-functionally with the Retail Operations, Visual Merchandising, E-commerce, and Inventory teams to develop end-to-end campaign solutions and extensions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience & Education: 10 to 12 years of progressive post-MBA marketing experience in leadership roles, demonstrating maturity and strategic depth.
  • Industry Expertise (Essential): Experience in premium consumer goods industries, with a strong preference for fashion, apparel, or international lifestyle brands with a substantial retail footprint.
  • Track Record: Proven ability to launch successful, high-visibility multichannel campaigns with a clear understanding of driving measurable results in physical retail.
  • Skill Set: Demonstrated creativity with a proven ability to innovate and think strategically. Must possess strong analytical skills and champion a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Preferred Experience: Prior experience in the consumer internet/e-commerce industry or in a role that integrated online-to-offline (O2O) strategy is highly desirable.
