As the Associate Director - Category Management (Jewellery), you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing category strategies to drive business growth and maximize profitability within a specified product category. With 7.0-10.0 years of relevant experience, you are expected to demonstrate strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and an in-depth understanding of market trends to effectively manage and optimize the category portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute category strategies to meet business objectives and financial targets.
- Lead and mentor a team of category managers to drive performance and enhance category growth.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and supply chain, to align category strategies with overall business goals.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and optimal terms.
- Monitor category performance metrics and KPIs, and develop action plans to address any issues or opportunities for improvement.
- Stay informed about industry developments, new product launches, and best practices in category management to maintain a competitive edge.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in all category management activities.
Your role will also involve building strong relationships with key stakeholders, conducting regular performance reviews, and presenting category performance reports to senior management. By effectively overseeing the category management function, you will contribute significantly to the overall success and growth of the organization in the competitive marketplace.
