The Team
KPMG's Advisory practice is one of the largest Advisory businesses worldwide and a major growth area for our organization. Our Deals practice works with clients in identifying and tackling their challenges in growth, governance, and performance. Our wider Advisory teams support businesses as they restructure and expand, whether organically or by acquisition. We help them to become more efficient and provide support as they adapt to the challenges posed by a rapidly changing business environment.
Primary Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Experience in delivering valuation, corporate finance (equity/debt raising, M&A, IPO advisory) and transactions (due diligence) advisory services. Experience in restructuring, feasibility studies and strategy engagements would be added advantage.

Identification of key issues and carrying out the relevant financial analysis.

Lead smaller assignments or assist on larger assignments reporting to a Director or Partner, under limited supervision.

Preparation of reports, including review of sections compiled by other team members on the job.

Management of and contribution to the development of junior staff, including timely and objective written feedback on every engagement.

Establishing credibility with clients/targets as a representative of the KPMG Deal Advisory practice.

Develop strong relationships with clients /prospective targets at middle/senior levels and leverage on these relationships to identify business opportunities.

To actively participate in compiling proposals/business development activities.

To contribute to the effective working of the team and the development of team morale.

Ensure that risk documentation is completed for all jobs on a timely basis as per the applicable technical/risk management policies.

Lead/support development of financial models.

Support delivery of valuation engagements, including for audit clients.

To contribute to practice development initiative – sales, people, solution development, etc.
Additional Responsibilities/ Accountabilities

Hands-on approach to engagements expected.

Manage 6 -10 subordinates and multiple engagements.

Review of files and reports.

Proposal development – in lead/support capacity.

Development & roll-out of new solutions.

Develop and roll out in-house training program for staff.

Recruitment assistance – conduct interviews/technical assessments.
The Individual
-
Bachelor/ MBA and / Chartered Accountant (CA/CPA/ACCA).
-
CFA preferred.
-
Have 10-12 years’ experience in Deals/ Corporate Finance with at least the last 4 – 5 years working in a similar capacity in an audit/investment advisory firm.
