Associate Director, Legal Counsel

Associate Director, Legal Counsel, Gulf Region

Key Responsibilities
  • Read, analyze, assess, and communicate guidance related to framework and main service agreements, service orders and statements of work, non-disclosure agreements, etc.
  • Review, negotiate as needed, and ultimately approve Contracts, Purchase Orders and Modifications.
  • Answer inquiries from and propose problem resolution for Accounts Receivables issues or similar.
  • Interface/dialog with clients (at sales request) to discuss potential solutions and/or further explain positions.
  • Work in partnership with internal stakeholders to refine and improve processes as needed.
  • When requested, provide support to other Legal & Compliance teams in support of regional legal matters (example: Corporate Secretary work, privacy and compliance tasks, etc.).
  • Develop and hold training sessions for other internal teams as needed.

  • Able to support sales teams in a positive manner that ensures ethically and legally compliant contracting and business practices while supporting commercial results.
  • Comfortable navigating differing and potentially conflicting demands from multiple constituencies to reach viable solutions.
  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills who can operate effectively in highly collaborative environments.
  • Able to solve complex problems and successfully manage ambiguity and unexpected change.
  • Teachable and embracing of best practices and feedback.
Role Qualifications
  • Qualified attorney.
  • Written and verbal fluency in English and Arabic.
  • Valid passport and no travel restrictions.
  • At least 8 years of related experience in supporting sales teams with commercial and transactional legal work and negotiations in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, inclusive of stakeholder management.
  • Ability to work in highly collaborative team environments and find win-win solutions.
  • Ability to identify and support process improvement opportunities for team and stakeholders.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills; ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of MS Office Suite and Salesforces strongly preferred.
