The Loan Trading Support Specialist supports the firm’s secondary loan trading activity by providing middle‑office coverage across the loan trade lifecycle. This role partners closely with traders, sales, Agency Services, Loan Operations, Credit Risk, and Legal to ensure accurate, timely, and controlled execution, settlement, and reporting of secondary loan trades. The position focuses on trade governance, documentation, reconciliation, and issue resolution, enabling the trading desk to scale activity while maintaining a strong control environment.
Duties and responsibilities:
Provide primary and secondary loan trade closing support, coordinating with trading, operations, counsel, counterparties, and administrative agents.
Prepare, review, and track Loan Syndications and Trading Association based loan trading documentation and closing deliverables; ensure timely execution and completeness.
Reconcile and resolve breaks across trade workflow tools and internal systems; remediate issues and escalate exceptions as needed.
Maintain daily/weekly trade status reporting (open items, aged/unsettled trades, key risks).
Support a control-focused process, including trade corrections/updates and lifecycle governance through confirmation and settlement.
Partner with Credit Risk / stakeholders on counterparty and control-related requests (e.g., limits, approvals, or required checks where applicable).
Coordinate KYC / onboarding requests and maintain required reference checks (ESS/Hotlist, etc.).
Manage desk-specific control artifacts (e.g., Disqualified Lender List) and documentation repositories (e.g., secondary data rooms).
Review and navigate credit agreements and amendments to support accurate closing, settlement mechanics, and assignability requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree
5+ years’ experience in capital markets, investment banking or corporate finance, leveraged finance
Understanding of trading and operational processes, with specific experience in secondary loan trading and Term Loan B
Preferred Qualifications:

Excellent organizational skills with a high attention to detail
Ability to analyze processes and information, identify problems and trends, and develop effective solutions
