NOW HIRING AN ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR - MEP

Our client is a leading Real Estate Developer specialising in large-scale hospitality projects.

The position:

The Associate Director – MEP will be responsible for leading all MEP matters on hospitality projects across Dubai.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee MEP, sustainability, and energy efficiency across projects to enhance lifecycle performance and minimise environmental impact.
• Review and refine MEP designs in coordination with teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure systems are cost-effective, efficient, and aligned with project objectives.
• Lead the tender process for MEP packages, including subcontractor coordination, quantity take-offs, and negotiations to secure optimal value within budget.
• Conduct Value Engineering and integrate lessons learned to improve design performance, reduce costs, and inform future project planning.
• Ensure RFPs are clear and comprehensive, facilitating accurate consultant responses and successful project delivery.
• Approve MEP designs at key stages to ensure compliance with standards, safety, and functionality.
• Evaluate and recommend qualified MEP consultants, contractors, and suppliers to mitigate project risks.
• Collaborate across disciplines to align MEP with overall project delivery.
• Drive departmental plans, process improvements, and quality controls to support efficient, compliant execution.
• Liaise with local authorities to manage NOC processes and resolve site issues to maintain progress.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering
• 18+ years of experience, including 4+ years working with a Tier 1 Developer or Consultant
• Current UAE experience (2 years)
• 5+ years of experience in MEP project management
• Proven track record delivering MEP projects from start to handover of projects
• Strong technical knowledge of MEP systems and project delivery
• Excellent stakeholder management skills
• Excellent communication skills
