Associate Director - Procurement

The project:

This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment and arts along with all associated infrastructure.

Mace is one of the delivery partners requiring high-calibre and experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of the project.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Provide leadership to category management teams, directing high-value and complex tenders with clarity and focus.
• Build and sustain senior stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally, to strengthen delivery outcomes.
• Drive performance management, technical development, and coaching, acting as a role model for behaviours and leadership.
• Deliver expert due diligence and market insight, ensuring value creation across processes, performance, and commercial activity.
• Contribute to strategy development, adapting plans and overseeing implementation to achieve objectives in challenging situations.
• Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You’ll need to have:

• Relevant degree or equivalent. Professional qualifications including CIPS and relevant industry certifications.
• Strong commercial acumen with expertise in high-value, complex tenders.
• Proven negotiation skills at executive and client level.
• Solid construction and market knowledge with main contractor experience.
• Effective communicator with analytical capability and ability to engage, influence and build trusted stakeholder relationships.
• Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have relevant work experience working on high-valued projects/programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
