Associate Events Manager

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

JOB PURPOSE:

To manage the aspects of Company’s activation and internal event planning, coordination and implementation and support with the planning, development and project management of Company’s events portfolio.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Internal Events Formulation and Monitoring

  1. Support in driving the concept development, production and execution of Company’s internal events.
  2. Assist with formulating and driving Company’s events strategy; especially in the internal events area.
  3. Assist in monitoring the internal events and activation budget to ensure availability of sufficient financial resources for delivering the program objectives whilst identifying opportunities for value engineering.

Internal Events Delivery

  1. Support in the project planning, implementation and monitoring for all internal events ensuring that all projects meet their goals, milestone and timelines in support of Company’s wider strategy.
  2. Plan and manage the delivery of internal events and activations; ensuring that they meet the event pre-set project objectives and KPIs in a timely manner whilst meeting Company and GAD’s leadership expectations.
  3. Research and source key event speakers and potential audience whilst maintaining accurate data records of speakers and audience details.
  4. Support with all communication functions and event activation across digital channels to ensure media engagement and guidance for all events and activations.
  5. Maintain a project management dashboard for each event to monitor analytics and to measure and improve activities.
  6. Manage the coordination of departmental activities to ensure alignment in delivering internal events.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • Experience in events industry delivering a wide and diverse range of events, researching and drafting clear and accurate communication content
  • Proven experience in programme management
  • Demonstrable experience in media and digital communication
  • Strong record of leading successful project outputs delivery in the area of events management
  • Strong educational and practical background in project management (i.e. project scoping/design, project planning and implementation, and quality management)
