- Strong understanding of energy policy- regulatory frameworks- and institutional mechanisms in India. Provide strategic direction on research and policy analysis related to energy sector reforms- emerging technologies- and the clean energy transition.
- Lead development of Compendium of Energy Efficiency Rules and Regulations.
- Undertake regulatory gap assessments through research- international benchmarking- and stakeholder consultations.
- Oversee the design- application- and validation of advanced modeling tools (capacity expansion- production cost- resource adequacy- demand-side integration) at national and state/DISCOM levels.
- Manage project teams- mentor junior researchers- and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Coordinate with BEE and other stakeholders for validation- review- and dissemination of research outputs.
- Support the design and execution of stakeholder workshops and consultations.
- Good understanding of the Energy Conservation Act 2001- Electricity Act 2003- and the rules and regulations made under the two Acts
- Experience in policy research- preferably in energy efficiency or sustainability domains.
- Proficiency in power system modelling software such as PLEXOS- GridPath- PyPSA- GAMS.
- Excellent programming skills in Python- MATLAB- or Julia and experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI- Tableau- etc.
- Excellent writing- communication- and stakeholder engagement skills.
