The Associate Field Compliance Coordinator - Oil & Gas (Saudi Arabia) plays a crucial role in ensuring that all safety and environmental measures meet the stringent compliance standards set forth by corporate and local regulations. This position requires a blend of foundational expertise and practical experience in the oil and gas sector, focusing on safety and health compliance. The coordinator will work closely with teams to monitor and implement safety protocols, conduct inspections, and provide guidance to ensure a safe working environment.
Minimum requirements:
A) A Bachelor's degree in engineering, safety engineering, industrial hygiene, or environmental science, or a related field is highly preferred.
B) A minimum of three (5) years of relevant safety or operational experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industries is required.
C) Comprehensive knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental compliance related to industry standards and governmental regulations.
D) Proven capability to develop, implement, and conduct health, safety, and environmental training programs effectively.
E) Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience in presentations and report writing. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams.
F) Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental standards and procedures is essential; the ability to interact with all organizational levels is crucial.
Duties and responsibilities:
A) Offer guidance and consultation to various department staff to uphold a safe working environment in compliance with environmental and safety standards.
B) Assess and identify hazardous workplace conditions, conducting thorough surveys and on-site safety audits.
C) Carry out construction site and operational inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, providing written reports and recommendations.
D) Develop and communicate hazard controls based on assessments and ensure their effective implementation.
E) Facilitate safety orientations and training programs, aiding management in new employee occupational health and safety onboarding.
F) Actively contribute to Safe Operations Committee meetings, effectively analyzing injury and property damage data while making recommendations for corrective action.
G) Ensure all procurement actions include essential safety requirements and recommend necessary safety equipment and PPE based on corporate standards.
H) Maintain knowledge of evolving corporate safety requirements and contribute to their implementation.
I) Support management in monitoring adherence to safety programs and other duties as directed by supervisors.
