Associate Financial Advisor

Stone Arch Advisory Group is currently looking for an Associate Advisor to join their team. The primary responsibility of this role is to attend client meetings with a Sr. partner, providing in-meeting and post-meeting support. This role ideally frees up the Senior Partner Advisor’s time from all client administration. This allows the Senior Partner Advisor to focus additional time on meeting with new prospective clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of autonomy, urgency, attention to detail, and initiative, with a desire to bring their best every day. At times, the Associate Advisor may work with clients independently on cases, roughly 25% of the time.

Core Expectations Include (not limited to):

Attending meetings with Senior Partner Advisor, providing in-meeting support, guiding the client through sales cycle experience to ensure consistency.

Facilitate all post-meeting client support; including consistent and timely communication through regular phone calls, emails, and Zoom text.

Support client relationship development and management, maintaining effective relationships, gaining client trust and confidence, while bridging the relationship with the Client Experience Manager.

Maintain a positive, professional, and team-focused attitude while working internally with team members across all teams, and externally with clients.

Clearly explain investment philosophy and reiterate investment recommendations from Senior Partner advisor to clientele, when they inquire.

Accepting redemptions/withdrawals from clients, tax consequences, costs, and fees; looping Senior Partner advisor in for recommendations for any new scenarios significantly impacting a client’s plan.

Develop and become well versed on life, annuity, and long-term care products available to clients through Northwestern Mutual and outside brokerage firms utilized by Stone Arch Advisory Group.

Identify areas of opportunity post meeting; and ensure they are captured in CRM, maintained, and reviewed on a regular basis with Senior Partner Advisor.

Clear understanding of planning software and presentations, including, but not limited to: Retirement projections (PX), Life/Disability/Long-Term Care needs analysis, and retirement income distribution strategies; could update plans with small adjustments in meetings with minimal oversight from planning team.

Be able to help identify and solve cross selling opportunities and needs as it pertains to Insurance (Life, DI, LTC), Annuities, Asset accumulation strategies, and analysis.

Clearly communicate recommendations to the team in client tasks and ensure a smooth process and positive client experience.

Completion of compliance tasks, such as:

Dictating and documenting client meetings and conversations, creating a record of them by saving in CRM and electronic client folders

Maintaining client records by keeping them current, making updates as needed

Maintaining CE credits and certifications, and staying aware of deadlines to keep certifications, licenses, and designations active and in good standing

Administrative functions, such as:

Maintaining own calendar

Meeting scheduling support on behalf of CEM when suggesting dates/times while in the client meeting; or as back-up when CEM is on vacation

Staying informed on technology changes and procedures when conducting business

Proficient with Microsoft Office, CRM, and other software and tools as needed


Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in finance, business, or sales preferred
  • Successful 1-3 years’ experience in a financial advising/supportive client facing role
  • Series 6/7 & 66/63 registered
  • MN State Life, Accident & Health licensed (or the ability to obtain within 2 months)
