Bookkeeper / Accounting & CFO Advisory (Remote, Part-Time/Contract)
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with Accounting and CFO Advisory experience to join our team on a remote, part-time or contract basis. This role blends day-to-day bookkeeping, invoicing, and payroll processing with strategic financial advisory responsibilities, providing insights to guide decision-making and operational planning.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and experienced with QuickBooks, Excel, and financial strategy, with the ability to take on a blend of financial, operational, and advisory responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Bookkeeping & Accounting:
- Prepare and send customer invoices accurately and on time
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks and Excel
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process and reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Assist with payroll processing and related reporting
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and assist with budgeting
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures
- Monitor financial data and investigate discrepancies
- Conduct regular reviews to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Support external audits and tax filings as needed
- Collaborate with internal team members to ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
- Maintain strict confidentiality of financial and payroll information
CFO Advisory & Strategic Support:
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support executive decision-making
- Assist with cash flow management, financial forecasting, and budget planning
- Identify opportunities to improve financial efficiency and operational performance
- Support strategic initiatives and evaluate the financial impact of new business opportunities
- Collaborate with leadership on financial planning, risk assessment, and growth strategies
Administrative & Operational Support:
- Provide general administrative support including document organization, data entry, and internal tracking
- Assist with operational initiatives, including supporting internal business strategies such as OpenClaw
- Conduct light research on government contracting opportunities, including GSA schedules and related programs
- Support preparation and organization of materials for government contract applications and submissions
- Track deadlines, maintain records, and assist with compliance-related documentation
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or in a CFO/advisory capacity
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and best practices
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or 4+ years of relevant experience
- Certification or advanced training in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial advisory is a plus
- Experience with Dynamics CRM (plus)
- Familiarity with additional accounting or ERP software
- Experience with financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
- Knowledge of payroll regulations and tax compliance
- Exposure to government contracting processes (e.g., GSA schedules, SAM registration) is a plus
